Privacy Policy for StockMetric

This Privacy Policy explains how StockMetric (“StockMetric,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the StockMetric Android and iOS applications and this website.

StockMetric is developed by Albert Suryansyah. For privacy questions, contact cvnurajayabarokah@gmail.com.

1. Scope

This policy applies to the StockMetric Android application with package name com.albertsuryansyah.stockmetric, the StockMetric iOS application with bundle identifier com.albertsuryansyah.stockmetric, and the official StockMetric website. It does not govern third-party websites or services that have their own privacy policies.

2. No StockMetric account required

The application currently does not require you to create a StockMetric account or sign in to use its calculators. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, brokerage credentials, bank credentials, or government identity inside the calculator experience.

If you contact us by email, we receive the email address and information you choose to include in your message. We use it to respond to your request and maintain support records as reasonably necessary.

3. Calculator inputs and results

When you request a calculation, the numerical assumptions you enter are sent over encrypted HTTPS connections to the relevant StockMetric calculation service. This processing is necessary to generate and return the requested result.

StockMetric does not intentionally use calculator inputs or results for advertising profiles or Analytics event parameters. The calculation services are designed not to persist or log the financial input values or calculation results. Operational infrastructure may still process limited technical data, such as request timing, status, network address, security-verification results, and rate-limit information, to provide, secure, diagnose, and protect the service.

Do not enter personal information into calculator fields. The calculators are designed for numerical scenario assumptions, not for storing personal records.

4. Locally stored settings

StockMetric stores application preferences on your device, including selected market, currency, language, theme, shares-per-lot setting, tax and fee assumptions, setup state, and telemetry preference. These settings support the app experience and are not a cloud portfolio or trading-history service.

Device backup or transfer features may process supported local application data according to your Android, iOS, Google, or Apple account settings. You can control backup behavior through your device and account settings.

5. Installation, security, and abuse-prevention information

The Android application generates a random installation identifier for calculator requests. It is used for service protection and rate limiting and is not a StockMetric user account. Backend rate-limit systems may store a hashed, service-scoped representation of this identifier for a limited operational window. The iOS application does not currently generate a StockMetric installation identifier for calculator requests.

The Android application uses Firebase App Check with Play Integrity in release builds. The iOS application uses Firebase App Check with Apple's App Attest in release builds. These services help determine whether requests come from an authentic application installation. Security systems may process app, device, integrity, request, network, and verification information. These controls reduce abuse but do not identify you as a named StockMetric user.

6. Advertising and consent

The free Android and iOS applications use Google AdMob to display banner and interstitial advertisements. On iOS, a banner can appear below a completed calculation result. An interstitial can appear after at least two successful calculations, with at least two minutes between displayed interstitials. Calculations remain available if an ad or consent is unavailable. Depending on your location, device settings, consent choices, and applicable law, Google and its advertising partners may process information such as device or advertising identifiers, IP address, general location derived from network information, ad interactions, diagnostic information, and consent signals.

Some advertising partners may seek permission to use precise geolocation data where it is available and your choices allow it. StockMetric itself does not request access to your device location. On iOS, when advertising consent permits ad requests, the app asks for Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission before requesting ads. If you allow it, Google Mobile Ads may access the advertising identifier (IDFA) to measure ads across apps and websites. If you decline or the permission is restricted, calculations still work and eligible ads remain contextual without IDFA access. Ads remain non-personalized even when you grant ATT permission. Google Mobile Ads may use other device or app identifiers as described in Google's disclosures.

Where required, StockMetric uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request consent or present privacy choices before requesting ads. On iOS, a fresh consent status is required before ad requests begin. If that check fails or consent does not permit an ad request, calculations remain available without an ad. Eligible users can reopen privacy choices from the application when Google requires that option.

In applicable US states, you can use the in-app privacy choices to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for advertising.

Android Premium subscribers do not receive banner or interstitial advertisements while their entitlement is verified as active. The first iOS release does not offer Premium or in-app purchases. An ad-free iOS Premium option may be added in a later release.

7. Optional Analytics and crash reporting

The Android and iOS applications include Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. Optional collection is disabled by default and can be enabled through the telemetry setting in a release build.

When enabled on Android, Analytics may record an allowlisted set of screen names and general actions, such as starting a calculation or a Premium purchase. Android crash reporting may record sanitized feature names and stable error categories. When enabled on iOS, Firebase may process app activity, sessions, an app-instance or installation identifier, device and operating-system information, crash stack traces, and relevant application state.

StockMetric’s telemetry interfaces are designed not to send stock symbols, prices, capital, lot counts, calculator inputs, calculator results, API tokens, endpoint URLs, email addresses, user identifiers, or raw exception messages as custom telemetry parameters.

You can withdraw telemetry permission through the application settings. New optional Analytics and Crashlytics collection will then be disabled. Data already processed by Google may be retained according to Google’s applicable retention and deletion practices.

8. Subscriptions and billing

StockMetric Premium is offered through Google Play Billing. Google Play processes payment details, purchase history, subscription status, renewals, cancellations, and refunds under Google’s terms and privacy policy. StockMetric does not receive or store your full payment-card number.

To verify Premium access, the application sends the Google Play purchase token and application-integrity token to the StockMetric billing-verification service. The service uses the token to verify subscription state with Google Play and to return an entitlement result. Purchase tokens are security credentials and are not used for advertising.

Manage or cancel Android subscriptions through Google Play account settings.

The first iOS release has no Premium subscription or in-app purchase. It does not process purchase or payment information. An ad-free iOS Premium option may be offered in a future release.

9. Service providers

StockMetric currently relies on service providers that may process information on our behalf or under their own terms:

  • Google Play for Android distribution, subscriptions, purchase management, and Play Integrity; and Apple for iOS distribution and App Attest.
  • Google AdMob and UMP for advertising and consent management.
  • Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics for optional telemetry.
  • Firebase App Check for application attestation.
  • Google Cloud Run and related Google Cloud infrastructure for calculator services on both platforms and Android billing verification.
  • Firebase/Firestore for limited operational rate-limit state where configured.

Their processing may occur in countries other than your own and is governed by their applicable terms, safeguards, and privacy policies.

10. Data retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it is processed, including service delivery, security, abuse prevention, support, legal compliance, and dispute resolution.

  • Calculator financial inputs and results are designed not to be persisted by StockMetric calculation services.
  • Local preferences remain on the device until changed, cleared, restored, or removed with the application, subject to applicable device backup or transfer behavior.
  • Hashed rate-limit state is retained for the applicable operational rate-limit window or maintenance period.
  • Support emails are retained as needed to respond and maintain reasonable support records.
  • Google services apply their own retention controls and policies.

11. Data security

StockMetric uses encrypted HTTPS transport, application attestation, input validation, bounded requests, and abuse controls intended to protect the service. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Never send passwords, purchase tokens, payment-card details, brokerage credentials, or other highly sensitive information through the support email.

12. Children’s privacy

StockMetric is a financial calculation utility intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly request personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review the request and take appropriate action.

13. Your choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights concerning personal information, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection. The information available to us may be limited because StockMetric does not require a user account.

You can also:

  • Change advertising privacy choices in the app when that option is available.
  • Disable optional telemetry in application settings.
  • Reset the advertising identifier through Android settings where supported.
  • Manage or cancel Android Premium through Google Play.
  • Reopen iOS advertising privacy choices in the application settings where available.
  • Clear application data or uninstall the app to remove local settings, subject to applicable device backup or restoration.
  • Contact us about support information you previously submitted.

14. International use

StockMetric supports multiple markets, currencies, and languages. This does not mean the application is licensed as a financial adviser, broker, tax adviser, or regulated financial service in any jurisdiction. You are responsible for determining whether use is lawful and appropriate where you live.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the application, service providers, or legal requirements change. We will update the “Last updated” date and publish the revised policy at this URL. Material changes may also be communicated in the application or store listing where appropriate.
